Little black dresses (LBD) are amongst the favorite things in my closet because there is so much versatility. I took a summer shift dress I found from Loft added bold accessories for a more seasonal look. I generally enjoy incorporating trends at a smaller scale, and the satin leopard scarf was the perfect touch to my classic ensemble.
Leopard is a fantastic neutral that can be worn to suit your personal style. I enjoy wearing leopard, but usually find myself gravitating towards mostly neutrals. I do enjoy wearing colors but black is most certainly my favorite.
If you’re like me and like to keep trends at bay through a minimalist level, then I would recommend using smaller amounts or more simple silhouettes. Below, I included a few key leopard pieces for you to shop and utilize in your wardrobe!
As I mentioned in the beginning, I styled one of my favorite summer dresses from Loft (similar) with winter accents. I’m always in favor of extending a seasonal piece for greater use, and this drop-waist dress leaves an endless amount of possibilities! For this particular look, I styled my leopard scarf (same) with: one of my favorite J.Crew button-ups (same), polka dot sheet tights (similar), Steve Madden black-suede pumps (same), Kate Spade gold bangle (similar), Kate Spade handbag (same), tortoise sunglasses (similar) and a Goody headband as a finishing touch to my preppy look. The red and polka dots add interesting elements.
Testing out trends should be a fun experience and result in making you
feel your best! If you style a trend and end up not loving it, try a few
more ways before giving up. I’ve been patiently waiting to find the
perfect leopard item, and I received it in the form of a gift.
