Next month marks a year since I bought my road bike! I didn’t do a formal fit initially because I was honestly ignorant of all things related to cycling. I was new to the sport and didn’t attempt any rides when I lived in New York. When the NYC Triathlon was two weeks away, I decided I should probably buy a bike and get used to riding one before the race. After finishing my triathlon, I jumped immediately into training for El Tour de Tucson (century route), which was roughly three months away. My Sunday group ride recommended a fitting after the tour. Well about a week ago, I finally did my first fit!
Thanks to Kurt from Fitworks Cycling for sponsoring me during the four hour fit! I decided to get aerobars installed for my 70.3 Ironman. Most bike fits don’t take this long but mine did for a few reasons: the aerobars needed to be shortened, my pedal stroke was analyzed to resolve my right knee pain, and I never had a formal fit previously. I’m really happy with Kurt’s attention to detail– check out the photos from the fit below!
Side note, I brought some R Bars to keep me fueled during my fit since I rode the bike on various gears. Get 20% off your online order by using the code HappilyPink20 and let me know what you think!
Thank you again to Kurt and Fitworks Cycling; I can’t wait to ride longer distances again and have no knee pain!
