The Problem: The Sleep-Stress Cycle
If you made the same mistake as me, you probably regarded sleep as the least valuable aspect of life. From high school to my late 20s, I typically slept anywhere from 4-6 hours a day. I didn’t see sleep as a necessity. And although I was able to accomplish everything I wanted, I often found myself on edge and stressed. The reason? The Sleep-Stress Cycle. And because I was often stressed, I found it challenging to fall asleep.

After a life-changing experience in 2018, I realized I needed to change up my sleep routine. So I later came up with three actionable items to improve my sleep:
1. Seek Out Knowledge: Why We Sleep
This book was written by the neuroscientist and sleep researcher, Matthew Walker. Walker is a professor of neuroscience and psychology and the director of the Center for Human Sleep Science at the University of California, Berkeley. He writes how the ‘silent sleep loss epidemic’ poses ‘the greatest public health challenge we face in the 21st century.’ Aside from the mental aspect of sleep deprivation, I learned about the frightening long-term health effects.
2. Set a Sleep Goal: 7-8 hours of Sleep
As a goal-oriented person, I knew that I needed to setup mini and attainable goals to reach eight hours of sleep. So in 2019, I set the goal to sleep no less than six hours a day, and to be honest it was initially hard. For nearly 15 years, I was acclimated to sleeping 4-6 hours. In 2020, I slowly eased to seven hours, and now, I sleep around eight hours a day. What I used to think was a waste of time has made a lasting impact on my mental health, skin, energy, relationships and efficiency.
3. Change My Sleep Environment: New Bed and Tempur-Pedic Mattress
When I was researching what immediate actions I could take to improve my sleep, I discovered that extended to changing my sleep environment. Small actionable items included dimming the bedroom lights and not using my phone one hour before bed. What is the delivery charge?

How long does the delivery take?
The entire process from the truck to house took less than 15 minutes. The delivery team will also help with moving your old mattress. We also received a quick instruction on how to use our adjustable bed frame.

A year later, what are your thoughts?
