I can’t believe I almost forgot to post about my trip to Sunrise with the Moe family this year! I am always in constant awe in Arizona’s beautiful biodiversity. It was the perfect quick-trip getaway.
Well the Thursday we left also happened to be the grand opening for one of our big clients at my PR agency. It ended up being a longer day than usual due to the special event, but it was successful and exciting day.
By the time I arrived back home and was ready to go, it was 9:30pm. It would take three hours to drive up to Sunrise from Tucson. When we did finally arrive, the temperature dropped below 20 degrees Fahrenheit…which is pretty significant when five days earlier you were tanning by your pool in a swimsuit.
Anyways we ended up having so much fun! Alex, Dale, and Chelsee skied and did pretty well since they are familiar with it. I hadn’t gone snowboarding in eight years but after an hour I was finally able to slide down the mountain continuously. Honestly the title for this blog should be called, “Sunrise, Snowboarding, and Falling-Down-Nonstop-For-An-Hour” ha ha. Alex and Dale had to take turns helping me go down the first hour so they could help pull me up.
Hopefully next season I won’t take a full hour again!
