Another year older
It seems like only yesterday I celebrated my 25th birthday in the wonderful city known as New York. My marketing internship with Macy’s enabled me to work in the city for two months before returning to the University of Arizona to finish my degree in journalism.
An entire year of being 25 has gone and passed. Now I get to embark adventures as a 26 year old. I started my birthday celebrations with my best friends, Shelby and Mo, in Phoenix. We stayed with Mo’s older sister, Roxy, and ventured off to start the celebrations!
Monday we excitedly checked out Kate Spade, and I fell in love with the “Monday” purse in black. The best part of it is that it’s scratch resistant! This is ideal for someone who is on the go and doesn’t want to worry about their purse getting ruined. Mo’s cat, Mochi, even loved the bag ha!
As the evening approached, we all went to a fabulous wine cafe called “Postino”; we thoroughly enjoyed the amazing assortment of bruschette and wine. They have a deal on Mondays and Tuesdays where you get a bottle and a brushette board for only $20! (Read my Postino post.)
Later, we took off to Scottsdale. It was a Monday, so we didn’t expect it to be full at all. BUT, to our excitement, the Bottled Blonde was actually filled with people!
I am so happy that my good friend Kieran could meet up with us after work! I met her three years ago through the Miss America Organization. We remained great friends past that experience.
On Tuesday, We had brunch a delicious brunch restaurant called “Snooze” and they even brought me out a birthday pancake! (Read about Snooze’s food here)
The following evening on my actual birthday, I celebrated in Tucson at Union for Whiskey Wednesday!
Overall, it was a wonderful birthday celebrated with loved ones. I look forward to seeing what this year will bring to me as a 26 year old.
