Yesterday, Lululemon– Tucson celebrated their fourth anniversary with their all-out event, Festival 520. Across Tucson, they featured complimentary classes courtesy of local businesses. The classes ranged widely from yoga to crossfit! I attended their morning 5K run at 8:00am to join in on the celebration. Some members from my running club, A Happily Pink Journey, came out like the true champs they are despite celebrating Cinco de Mayo the previous night. They met me with smiles on their faces and ready to take on the 5K run!
We met outside of Lululemon at the La Encantada Mall with the other running enthusiasts at 8:00am. I was greatly inspired by the legacy ambassador, Hazel, who planned out the course for the several runners and I. While I only spoke briefly with her, I was fully in awe of accomplishments. This year she competed in her 100th full marathon. Yes, you read that correctly. 100 marathons. She has also qualified for Boston over 10 times. How can you not be inspired by that?!
Hazel set out a great course for us that included some hills and my running group loved it! The course featured a scenic, paved run in the neighborhoods surrounding the mall. The temperature was a little warm and reached the low-90s even though it wasn’t even 9:00am. The nice breeze definitely helped with the temperature.
At the end of the run, Lululemon had healthy snacks and replenishing-electrolyte products. All of the girls agreed it was a fantastic event and they were happy to run it as a group.
My younger sister, Leah, and I decided to buy the 520 Festival navy tank with the copper logo that was customized for Tucson! It was too cute to not pass up and I look forward to wearing mine for my next run or workout. Leah was especially excited since it was her first Lulu purchase. I told her the purchase is worth it 100% because Lulu’s quality is made to last.
Thank you to Lululemon– Tucson for a great morning for my running group and I!
